Here’s something every American consumer should remember to do every year, and I’m wondering if you’ve gotten around to it yet—requesting your no-cost credit reports from AnnualCreditReport.com.
This is the official website where you can access your complimentary reports from the three credit bureaus once every 12 months. Several similar sites may come with a price.
Errors on credit reports are probably more common than you think, and many will be discovered only by reviewing your reports closely. I hope you’ll take time to check yours out today.

Lee County provides Flood Insurance Rate Map information that is required for a National Flood Insurance Program. They also offer flood protection assistance about your structure or parcel, and this may include a site visit. Some jurisdictions may also send you a “FIRM” letter listing both the required information and additional information including:

Flood zone and base flood elevation, presence of floodway or COBRA/OPA zone

Watershed identification and related issues

Love bacon? Don’t miss the annual South Cape Baconfest on August 6th, when 12 locations battle to serve up the best bacon themed appetizer, bacon themed drink and best overall bacon experience. The event runs from 7-11pm.
Your $25 advance ticket grants you access to SCHEA’s exclusive trolleys. You’ll ride them along a designated route, stopping at 12 locations to enjoy bacon-themed drink and appetizer samples. As always, you’ll meet lots of great people and discover cool places in South Cape. You can also win cool prizes on the trolleys by answering fun trivia questions.
You’ll also vote on who deserves the coveted awards for bacon-themed drinks, appetizers and overall experience.

Always a sell-out, this event is limited to 1,200 attendees. You can purchase tickets at any of the participating locations or online.
Note: Designated driver tickets are available only at BackStreets Sports Bar. If any remain on the day of the event, they will be available only at check-in booths.
Check-in booths for this event are open from 6pm to 7:30pm. Booths are located at Big John Plaza (near Pinch-a-Penny) and Club Square (near center square). Late check-in is available at Dixie Roadhouse or Cruiser’s Lounge.
